I am going to Cancun for my Hunnymoon. Can anyone give me some ideas of restaurants that you enjoyed while there or must go to restaurants?

  1. Hooters!!!

  2. You must go to Isla Mujeres, at least for a day! There are a couple of restaurants to the left of the ferry boat (as you get off the boat) that are actually great and reasonably priced. IM is a real village!

  3. An authentic seafood place that was fabulous was called J.C. Captain's. It's on the South end of the hotel zone and right across from the Hotetur Beach Paradise Resort. AWESOME!

  4. There is a fairly new restaurant called Harry's at km 14. It is on the lagoon which is great for sunsets. Very zen with indoor waterfalls and low romantic lighting.

Right next door is Puerto Modero, Argentine food. The interior is like an old dock...it is very nice.

Captain Hook Pirate dinner cruise or the Lobster dinner cruise. Both go out on the ocean where you can see the lights of Cancun, serve you a decent meal and listen to some nice music. Very romantic...for some.

Hacienda Sisal has different themed nights with entertainment. They have 3-different seatings.

The above establishments are all in the Hotel Zone.

    Hope this helps! Happy honeymoon!!!

  5. First I want to recommend that you pick up a copy of a travel guide with lots of restaurant listings, most only give a few so do shop around. A few restaurants that I find to be romantic, since you are going to be on your honeymoon, include:

    Mitachi Sea-side Grill

    Laguna Grill

    Paloma Bonita

    Limoncello

    Thai

Also, depending on when you are planning to travel, I recommend you investigate which tours are available. I say this because during certain times, it is better to avoid some of the areas that are inland, and opt to do more activities in the water. I highly recommend you do a dolphin swim with Dolphin Discovery. The great aspect to doing a tour with them, besides the fact that the company is excellent, is that the swim takes place on Isla Mujeres. Once you are on Isla, you should catch a taxi to the north town, rent a golf cart and explore the island on your own self guided day trip. A great restaurant on Isla is located on Playa Lancheros, where they serve a traditional BBQ Mayan fish dish known as Tikkin Xic (pronounced Teek-een-cheeck), simply mouthwatering.

Aside from Dolphin Discovery, you should consider doing a tour that runs for a limitied time each year known as swim with whale sharks, they can be found on this list of other Cancun activities:
