Any ideas of what to do around Washington, DC?

My friends and are are going into DC for Labor day for my birthday. And considering we live here... we've already done the big monuments a million times. So, does anyone have any suggestions for something new and usually overlooked, and just fun, for 4 teenagers to do, that isn't usually done?

  1. Check out Georgetown, Dupont Circle, Old Town Alexandria, or some trendy place you haven't been.

  2. I know it's been open for a few years, but the Spy Museum is a lot of fun, but it's kind of expensive.

How about the Zoo?  Tomorrow is supposed to be nice in DC, and I love to go to the zoo and see all of the animals.

If you're looking for a place for cheap eats in a kind of funky neighborhood, go to Ben's Chili Bowl.  I love their chili dogs and the food is really good and not expensive.  Plus there's a historic walk in that neighborhood and just an interesting place to explore.

If you like to shop, Potomac Mills is my favorite.  There used to be a bus you could take from DC to Potomac Mills, don't have any info on it, but a quick Yahoo search would probably find some details.

    have fun tomorrow!
