  1. How about using them like tiles and making a mosaic?  A mirror would be pretty.  Or you could get some of the wooden or glass containers/objects at a hobby store and cover them with shells.

  2. If I were u i would make jewlery...necklaces, bracelets and earrings

  3. Look up shells on Ebay, and check out the variety of crafts (modern and antique) that have been done with them.  One of my favorite shell projects are shell covered frames.  This is often done on a large mirror, and the shells are glued down in interesting patterns to cover the entire frame.  A shell covered treasure box or cigar box purse are also neat crafts.  The Victorians really raised this sort of thing to an art form, and would cover tables and furniture with shells.  How cool would a shell covered headboard be!

Putting your shells inside of a clear glass lampbase or vase is a great way to display them.  I have a collection of very small favorite shells that I display in a little terrarium, and put a magnifying glass next to it, and my kids love looking at them.

Here is what I do with the few 'favorite' shells from a vacation.  I arrange them on a 5x7 (flat) frame (with glass, backing, etc. removed).  Once I have them arranged like I want, I will cover the top and sides of the frame with white glue and sand, and then glue the shells on top to make it look like the beach.  You can even add a little beach glass for fun, and a pearl tucked in.  I use it to frame my favorite picture from vacation.  Really fun and cute!

Since you enjoy finding and collecting shells so much, it's a great idea to find ways of using them and enjoying them!

  4. Place them on top of the soil of your houseplant pots for decoration and to help keep the moisture in.

  5. Arrange a few artfully on a flat small ceramic plate with a votive candle or tealight.  Glue them in place once you're satified with the arrangement.  This makes a cool gift for folks who like the seashore.

If any are small enough to make jewelry, do wirewrapping.  Go to Google and look up wirewrapping tutorials.  Get some supplies, pick out your shells,  and start wrapping.

Glue them to the outside of a glass candleholder, the kind a votive candle would fit down into.

  6. earrings, necklace, bracelet, anklets
