  1. Cromarty on the Black Isle near Inverness is a wonderful place to visit. Very small coastal village, virtually cut off from the mainland with stunning views and very friendly people.

  2. Get some decent square sausage ,,, magic oh and Mckechnies rolls rolls  to die for

Best thing in the world ....square sausage in a Mckechnies roll,,,,,,,,,,,,,,god I am getting homesick now

You must see loch Lomond , Climb the Cobbler in arrocher, then head North . go up to fort william , see ben nevis, if you can go and see some of the islands and then you can die a happy and contented man

  3. Best would be to have a day in or 2 in Edinburgh and then a 3 day tour with a company up to the highlands and back. It's worth having a driver and a guide familiar with the place, preferably one with lots of stories to tell. Also a great chance to meet new people. I did it, swam in loch ness in the middle of winter. Crazy but fun!

  4. As a Scot, I would recommend going up the M6 / M74, follow signs for the Erskine Bridge (M73 - M8).  Cross the Erskine Bridge and bear left, follow the signs for Loch Lomond which is very picturesque.  Keep on that road and go to Rannoch Moor, then Glen Coe, then there's always Oban and Fort William. Between Oban and Fort William there's a beautiful little place called Appin.  If that isn't enough, go from Fort William to Inverness which will give you a good view of Loch Ness.  Maybe you'll be lucky and spot the Loch Ness Monster.

Have fun, and take a brolly

  5. Take an umbrella =)

  6. Edinburgh castle in the east, loch Ness up north, you can't go wrong there is beauty everywhere in Scotland

  7. Travel up the west of Scotland, it is so beautiful.
