Any ideas on any organizations or companies that would be willing to donate money or school supplies?

Im helping out a friend that is starting an organization. In August, he would like to give out school supplies to needy kids in the local area! Any ideas on some companies that would be willing to help? We need donations! Either money or the actual supplies! Please Help!

I would advertise in your local paper, then visit each and every business in your community.  Be sure to acknowledge them with a thank you or a piece in the school or local paper.  It is free advertising for them, and they are contributing to the place where the school children's parents and relatives, shop, and do business.  It is contributing to their future sales and promotes good will...good luck to you all...thank you.
