Any ideas on charity or someone to help with expenses?

I have hydrocephelus and brain tumors. I have been out of work for 8 wks and looks like it will be another 6 wks for i think about going back to work. Can nyone give me information on how to gt assistance or help with some of my copays and medicene. I have never asked for assistance and never asked anyone for help but i have worked for 20 years and bealways helped other people. Any ideas on what to do?

Please go to www.needymeds.com and check on help with this specific disease as well as on the meds you are using.     You should also talk with the personnel dept at your work about any short term or long term disability coverage.  They may have a waiver of premiums so you can keep coverage up and you may be entitled to some disability pay.   Your local area United Way may have a helpline or know of one that can direct you to sources of help in your area.   Needymeds is the most comprehensive source we have seen for such help but it is always good to check out others too.  It will direct you to both pharmacy co patient assistance plans and also to diseses specific foundsations some of which do help wth copays.

Why don't your local Social Security office and ask them what

type of assistance programs that they offer in your area.  Good luck!
