  1. As the person above posted, the YWCA is the BEST bang for your buck!

I live on Vancouver Island and come to the City often for concerts. Since I discovered the YWCA I haven't booked accommodation anywhere else. They are right downtown and the price is right.

  2. The Coast plaza is reasonable, and only 2 blocks from the beach in a mostly residential part of downtown. Not nearly as loud as granville area. I used to live there, it's madness.

The west end is about a 5 min bus ride, 15 minute walk from the center of downtown. This hotel is also much closer to stanley park!

  3. June in Vancouver is prime time for tourist so that means that there are no deals really to be had. Most of the hotels are selling at a maximum rate then but maybe you might want to consider a hotel in burnaby, New Westminster or Surrey especially one that is along the skytrain route, because then you have easy access and no downtown parking fees.

I put in a link that has all the skytrain links and it shows hotels close by to them.

  4. Cheaper in Burnaby  See hellobc  and tourismvancouver

  5. The IYHF hostel on Burnaby Street at Thurlow is in a very quiet location, but I do not know if they allow couples.

Other reasonable hotels are the Bosman Inn & Century Plaza.

  6. YWCA is very central.

Also The Barclay Hotel on Robson Street - but it has no elevator.
