  1. A Sirloin Tip roast can be very tough.  I personally will cook on top of mt stove in a dutch over.

Brown all sides of the beef in the dutch oven, until nice and brown. I then add a whole onion, or 2 ( depending on the size.) and 2 to 4 green peppers, and water half way up the side of the roast. Cover with a lid; bring to a boil; lower heat and cook for 3 or 4 hours over a low flame.  When it has reached the doneness of super fork tender, Remove from heat and remove the onion and green peppers. Add the vegetables of your choice; potatoes, carrots, cabbage or a combo of many. Cook uncovered, until veggies are done, remove all and make gravy with the broth.

    Good luck.

  2. Savory Roast Beef

    3-4 lb roast

1 can cream of mushroom soup

    3 tb steak sauce (optional)

    1 can water

1 package dried Lipton onion soup mix

Place roast in crock pot. Add steak sauce to top and spread to coat evenly. Add cream of mushroom soup on top spreading to coat. Sprinkle onion soup on top and add water. Cook on low for about 8-10 hours or until meat separates easily. Serves 4.

For French Beef dip sandwiches: French Rolls, roast beef, and Au Jus Mix with a little of the drippings from the roast added for dipping. Horseradish Sauce if you like it.

  3. Stuff really good with onions, onion tops, bell peppers, garlic, green onions. Rap in foil paper and slow cook on a BBQ pit.

  4. WHATEVER YOU DECIDE, CROCKPOT OR OVEN COOKING IT , ADD A CUP OF COFFEE LEFTOVER FROM THE MORNING.. IT IS FANTASTIC.. MY STEPDADDY DOES THIS AND ITS GREAT..

  5. Throw it in the crock with 1 C BBQ sauce & maybe 1/2 C water - and your veggies & seasonings you like & cook all day!@

  6. Put some beef stock in a crock pot with the roast and cook it all night.. very yummy!

  7. There is something I do quite often. In a crock pot early in the morning, with water halfway covering the roast. Then pour Lipton Onion Soup Mix over the top. Let it cook all day. Couple of hours before you eat you can add any veggies, potatoes you want. Or  I will add whole green chilis to it and use it this way for burritos. Letting it cook all day on High, comes out really tender!  I have even put a frozen roast in the crock before I go to bed (with water) letting it cook all night and part of the day if you want an early dinner.  Really good! And if you use pork roast doing the same,  you could have pulled pork and/or BBQ sandwiches. Really good, too!

  8. I just made this the other day, LOL Beef and potatoes.

Brown it in a skillet first with seasonings - garlic salt, pepper and maybe some season salt.

Put it in a crock pot and cover it with 3 cups water and 3 bullion cubes (beef)

Also - I added 1 onion (quartered) and some potatoes.

    Cook on low 8 hours.
