  1. If everyone was forced to plant one or two trees in their yard and buy a hybrid. If between certain hours people werent allowed drive unless they were carpooling. If bosses of people grouped people together to car pool in a hybrid.

  2. stop oil companies and get hybrid cars

  3. buy high-bred cars (cause they cause less pollution) and destroy the buildings with the tall towers with smoke coming out of it!

  4. you can't stop fraud

  5. CBS News correspondent Bernie Goldberg says the liberal mainstream media is largely ignoring the voices of scientists and academics who are skeptical of the notion that global warming is caused by human activity.

  6. It's too late.  If every person on the planet was killed global warming would continue for at least a hundred years.

  7. We are all responsible for climate change and we all must be part of the solution. Agua-Luna Com makes it simple for anyone, or any organization, to reduce and offset their carbon emissions. How does it work? Follow these simple steps that take you through the process.

    How does it work?

Even if you have already reduced your driving and electricity use, there's more you can do. You can neutralize the rest of your pollution—through offsets. When you buy offsets, you essentially pay someone to reduce or remove global warming pollution in your name.

For example, when you buy 10 tons of carbon offsets, 10 fewer tons of global warming pollution go into the atmosphere. While the pollution you produce yourself is the same, you get the credit for that 10-ton reduction.

You can use our FREE Carbon Calculator at www agua-luna com to determine your own Carbon Footprint, and then take the actions to offset it with our help.

As Agua-Luna actually performs the Offset in a first person chain (Ie Reforestation, Alternative Energy Projects, etc), eliminating the middleman, sales teams, and unnecessary fees. For more info check out www agua-luna com

There are many options to choose from, including, Offests by the Ton, per person per day, per car, per family, per year, per life time, etc.

  8. What Can We Do About Global Warming?

Humans currently emit too much C02 into the atmosphere.  The carbon dioxide emissions have increased by 40% since the Industrial Revolution and are higher than they have been in 650,000 years.  If we don’t take drastic action, nothing will be able to live on Earth.

Many ideas can be used on a personal, community, and governmental basis to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

    Personal

People can make many lifestyle choices to reduce CO2 emissions.   They can change their eating and driving habits.  They can also adjust the way they run their homes.

    Eating Habits

Eating organically grown foods helps keep the atmosphere cleaner.  Certain pesticides can give off toxic vapors up to one year after application.  None of these pesticides are used to grow organic fruits and vegetables.

Buying organic foods also helps protect the water supply.  Organically grown foods don’t contain any pesticides so no harmful pollutants can seep into the ground and contaminate the water supply.

If each person ate one less pound of beef each week, the annual amount of CO2 emissions would decrease by 546 pounds per person.  Eating less meat reduces food-related land use and water pollution problems.  If we gave up meat in general, that would be even better for the environment.

    Driving Habits

Cars powered by gasoline are a major contributor to global warming.  There are more than 500 million vehicles in use around the world.  Americans use 226 million gallons of gasoline each day.  We need to scale back on gasoline consumption in order to cut our CO2 emissions.

By carpooling, walking, biking, driving energy efficient cars, and using public transportation, people can save energy in transportation every day.  Also, by driving more smoothly and slowly and keeping automobile tires fully inflated, we reduce the amount of gas wasted.

    Managing The Home

The way people run their home affects how much energy they use.

Solar energy is a natural alternative to gas and electricity.   Solar panels capture energy from the sun and distribute it throughout a home.  The more we use solar energy, the less we need gas and electricity.  The less gas and electricity we use, the less C02 is emitted into the air by burning fossil  fuels.  Solar panels are an efficient, easy way to conserve energy.

By proper insulation, homes stay warm in the winter, so people don’t need to turn up the heat.  Proper insulation can also help keep homes cool in the summer, therefore reducing the need for air conditioning.

Some windows are being designed to reflect and attract light and heat.  People can flip a switch and have their windows tint or become clear based on how warm or cool they choose the room to be.  Leaky windows can let in drafts so people turn up the heat.  Getting windows properly sealed helps keeps a house warm without wasting energy.

We should use energy-efficient appliances like Energy Star clothes washers and driers and dishwashers.  People can also use fluorescent lighting to cut down on electricity levels.

All of these solutions may cost more in the beginning, but cut down on gas and electricity bills so much that it saves money in the long run.

    A Green Wedding

Some people take saving energy one step further.  In the Sunday Styles section of a recent New York Times, there was an article about bride-to-be, Kate Harrison who is planning a green wedding.  She and her groom will make their wedding environment-friendly.  They will gather friends and family at an organic farm to take environmental tours and hikes the day before the wedding.  The couple will calculate the mileage that guests will use to get to the wedding and offset their Co2 emissions by donating to organizations that help the environment by planting trees and preserving rainforests.  They are planning a seasonal menu from local organic farms so they won’t use gas and electricity for shipping and preserving food from other places.  The bride and groom will use local flowers and berries for Kate’s bouquet and other wedding decorations.  They will even use potato-based biodegradable forks.   Kate, a 28-year-old Yale graduate student said, “It’s well worth it to start your life together in a way that’s in line with your values and beliefs.”

    Community

Every community can make changes which protect people from global warming.  Communities can take three key steps towards reducing greenhouse gas emissions.  They can make it easier for people to recycle.  They can exchange information on energy saving.  Businesses can make decisions that positively affect their workers and the community.

    Recycling

Communities can make recycling easier for people by setting up recycling centers and providing curbside pick-up service.  The recycling centers can give people a cash incentive to recycle.

    Exchanging Information

If people share information about global warming, they’ll be more educated about how to solve this problem.  People can share energy-saving tips by posting their ideas on a bulletin board, doing speeches in a public meeting, and creating environmental clubs.

    Business Decisions

Another component of community action is business decisions that reduce CO2 concentration levels.  Telecommuting saves energy in many ways.  When workers have a home office, they do not waste gasoline driving to work.  There’s no need for a big office building which consumes more resources than a small office.  It is also said that people with home offices work more hours and are more productive because less of their day is spent on social conversation with other people.

    Legislative Action and Public Policy

Some individuals and communities are willing to reduce their CO2 emissions voluntarily, but some have to be forced by the law.  State governments can make laws about speed limits.  The United States government can explore alternative fuel sources and adopt the Kyoto protocol.

The United States Federal Government has a Department of Energy (DOE) that is responsible for writing public policies that help the environment.  President George Bush signed the Energy Policy Act of 2005 which increases funding for energy technology.  Many people say that the DOE isn’t doing enough to reduce global warming.  They feel that this is because the Bush Administration has friends in the oil industry, and the president doesn’t want to hurt their business.

    Global Warming Solutions Act

Assembly Bill 32, the Global Warming Solutions Act was passed by the California Legislature on August 31, 2006 and signed by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger on September 27, 2006.  AB 32 sets guidelines for capping global warming emissions in California. This law requires that California reduces greenhouse gas emissions to 1990 levels by the year 2020.  By January 1, 2008, the California Air Resources Board (CARB) must choose regulations to make a statewide global warming tracking and monitoring system.  By that same date, CARB must determine what the greenhouse gas emissions were in 1990.  By 2012, CARB must have regulations in effect to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to 1990 levels by 2020.

    Speed Limits

The state government can enforce slower speed limits.  This saves gasoline because every car’s fuel efficiency begins to decline after 60 miles per hour.  By driving 55 mph instead of 60 mph, people can get to their destination in a reasonable amount of time, and save energy.

    Alternative Energy Sources

The U.S. Government can take action by enforcing stricter rules about using alternative energy sources.  We can use wind power, solar energy and biomass energy. Wind power is an affordable clean technique of generating electricity.  The wind turns the blades of a windmill which activates an electric generator inside.  This way of generating energy does not emit any greenhouse gasses, and scientists are working on ways to eliminate the risk to birds.  The use of this efficient energy source is rapidly increasing.

Another pollution-free source of energy is solar power.  Solar cells, also called photovoltaic cells, convert sunlight into electricity.  They are primarily made of silicon, which is also used in computer semiconductor chips.  When sunlight hits the solar cells, the electrons break away from the atom, creating a direct current of electricity.  The sun is an inexhaustible source of energy that works constantly, even on cloudy days and at night.

Biomass energy uses natural materials such as wood or plants to generate electricity create heat and produce fuel which is much cleaner than oil.  Biomass recycles rice husks, wood waste, pressed sugar cane, willow and switch grass to create environmentally friendly fuel.  Biomass can be burned like coal in power plants, fermented to produce fuels like ethanol, digested by bacteria to create methane gas, and heated or “gasified” to break down into a clean-burning gas.

Using wind, solar and biomass energy are three key steps towards solving the problem of global warming.

    Kyoto Protocol

The Kyoto Protocol is a key step towards solving the problem of global warming. It is a treaty created on December 11, 1997 by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.  It requires rich nations to reduce CO2 emissions by 5.2% below 1990 levels by 2008-12.

One of the ways the Protocol can cap global warming emissions is by providing a limited number of “emissions credits.”  These are vouchers for emitting greenhouse gases.  (It is not clear if businesses are given a certain amount of credits or have to buy them up front.)  The Protocol allows businesses to buy and sell emission credits from each other.  This forces businesses to be more energy efficient.  If they use all their credits and no one is willing to sell any, their business has to shut down.  Businesses might also be

  9. global warming cannot end. it is something that occurs on the earth naturally, the fact is, we are speeding it up, not causing it.  from the ice ages, obviously there has been periods of global warming.  also there is global cooling.  normally this takes thousands of years, but since we are speeding it up, this is what is causing awful results of nature.  all we can do is continue what we already do to slow it down.

  10. Kill every human living :)

  11. easy,  get rid of AL Gump,  take the $$$$$$ out of the Global Warming Hoax,  and  it would be over

  12. CLICK ON THIS LINK==  http://www.socyberty.com/Activism/First-...  YOU CAN GET GROUPS TOGETHER and start a salvage company and get a license and just follow the first step. In India i heard they found a old stone building in the sand near the beach. you could also price out what it would cost for everything then add extra and put in for a grant to cover all the expenses and what you find is yours to sell or what-ever. the sands of time untouched by human hands and what treasures lie beneath, plus you will be a great part in helping all our peoples delete global warming and returning nature back to normal naturally.   HAVE A NICE DAY.

  13. dont think we can now, tipping points have been passed, earth biothermostat ready to restabilise in different state, anthropocene extinction here we come.

    i might be wrong.

    how to turn the tanker around;

massive sequestration of carbon in soils; biochar.

replace fossil fuels with carbon neutral and carbon negative fuels within next 35 years.

reduce human population back to 2 or 3 billion over next century or so.
