Any ideas on how to display sports medals?

My husband and I both have several medals from high school. I'd like to display them (instead of pushing them to the back of a closet) without taking up a whole room. I was thinking of a shadow box or something of the sort. Any suggestions are appreciated.

If you go to the craft store, you can get the shadow boxes that have glass on the front.

I would mount them in one of these.

This way you are also protecting them a little bit.
