Any ideas on how to end the summer?

My daughter and I did not go on a vacation, no cash, so I would like to do something fun before we start classes on Tuesday. Any fun ideas? She is 12.

If you want to enjoy the summer then have some cold things. cold your mind with great joy. Mahatma Ghandi who was a great indian leader said that if you are in some troubel then think about the poorest man you have seen in your life think is he/she is happy or sad this time. 99% your answer will 'no'. then you will see that your problem is turning off.

How about a special evening, dinner out at a decent restaurant and then a movie together, or if cash is an issue, just a movie and an ice cream.

Or you could do a special craft together.  Some craft stores have one day classes for fun projects like making a memory quilt or jewelry, or  cake decorating.  

If you live near a beach or nice park, you could pack a picnic and take a long evening walk, if she is 12, you may want to use this opportunity to ask if she has any questions about boys or sexuality that you can answer.  It is a good time to strengthen the rapport you already share.

You could also ask her if there is an activity she would like to try, maybe invite one or two of her friends and go to a roller rink or a skateboard park,  or go to the mall and window shop, then out for ice cream.

If you allow make up, you could go to a dept. store and get a makeover.
