He is 5 and is a very picky eater. He loves all kinds of fruit but when it comes to lunch or supper he only eats the norm, such as, hamburger, pizza, soup, chicken.

  1. make fresh hamburgers and mix veg and stuff in with them instad of putting it in a rol put it on plate with a samll amount of oven chips betroot because it colorful and then something he realy lkes as pudding

thats how my mum got my lil sister to other things she knew that if she trid what was on hr plate she might not like it but if she tried it she would get something she like for pudding ,

(her fussy eating sarted when my grandad gave her chicken nuggets and chips and then thats all she would eat ) good luck xx

  2. This is not rocket science.  He is 5 years old -- he has to eat what you provide him.  If you want him to eat more/different/healthier foods, then offer him only those.  When he's hungry, he'll eat them.

  3. I know what exactly you are going through. Many children i have dealt with do go through the stages of not liking something then they end up liking what they didn't like before. How frustrating for a parent. It's wonderful that he loves fruit, but it's the veggie thing we parents are most concerned about, Right? What you can do is maybe camo your veggies in the hamburgers, or better yet, try buying veggie burgers, he may like them as my son does. Try to be patient and please, don't do what others will say, "Let him go hungry and eventually he will eat" WRONG! kids are more stubborn then what you think,I would like to see them with some nutrition in them then nothing at all. they would rather go without then to eat what they don't like. Think about it, we adults don't eat what we don't like. My oldest son who is in his 20's has been the pickiest eater and still is, my other adult son same also and never ate meat as a child nor veggies, he now eats them and started eating them when he was a teen, All my boy's are healthy...Why? because they were given multi vitamins and still to this day they take them. You just have to offer different things and soon he will discover something else he likes, veggies are always a tough one for most kids. Don't worry, you never had heard of a child dieing from not eating his veggies. In the mean time, give vitamins and offer different foods with a little fun added to it. Maybe having him help you make a special dish may entice him to try it. Don't worry, as he grows, so does his taste buds.

  4. You might try reverse psychology, let him see you eating it, don’t offer it to him and if he asks tell him its yours a few times…just a thought

It doesn’t sound like he has an unhealthy diet if he is eating fruits and chicken…I wouldn’t push it to hard he will grow into new things…

  5. refer food to real like things like broccoli to trees. He will be interested then. Thats what my mom did. Hope I helped.
