Any suggestions will be welcome. The brick and mortar are discolored in some places and I don't know if just pressure-washing will help. House was built in 1929. Thanks for input.

  1. forget about powerwashing. get your garden sorted, a new path and some grass would be a good start.

  2. Your house is charming.  Suggestions you can do:

    Lose the snowman.

    Add window boxes

Make the planting beds in the front of the house more defined, larger, curved and have them extend awau from the house more on each side of the front steps.

    Repair the grass.

Paint your front door a contrasting color - consider yellow, a medium blue or anything that works with the brick and compliments your interior.

    Ask the landlord to:

Replace the sidewalk with on that curves and is made of natural stone or brick.

Consider making your front steps wider, this will be more inviting.

Replace the entrance light with something more substantial.

If you must park on your front "lawn" create a stone area for this.  You could do a wide swath of gravel, or better yet, two strips of natural stones where the car wheels will pass.

  3. i would start with containers you can fill these with all sorts of interesting plants and flowers, you can choose all the same container of go for brightly colored , mix and match your plants to suit your style, best thing is you get to take them with you when you move, unless the landlord is willing to pay to repaint or for a walkway or something use your money on something you can take with you

  4. you need grass.  Trim the hedges.  Plant some flowers.

  5. general clean up and landscaping
