Any ideas on how to lock my landline?

I have tried the code from my provider before but I usually end up forgetting to put it on. Is there anything in the UK similar to Phone LineLok that I can buy that will restrict outgoing calls? Please help .... if my son runs up another £300 phone bill (for the month!!!) I will lose complete control of my senses!

  1. If long distance is the issue, you can keep people from making long distance calls on your phone. You have to call your phone company and tell them you want to put a code on your long distance, then if YOU want to place a call, you have to enter the code when you dial the number. Or just tell them to cut off the long distance altogether. But If you have no long distance plan, you can still use a prepaid long distance card to place a call.

Buying a physical lock for the phone would be a waste in my opinion. The easiest way around that is just to plug in another phone. Even if you get the kind that plugs into the phone jack, the other person could just use the jack in the phone box outside.
