  1. we bought a large diameter clear plastic tubing that fit the end of the washer outlet hose.... about two inches diameter, I think...you measure, I'[m not remembering..... then attached it with a hose clamp to the hooked shaped outlet hose from the washer.... we got enuff to run it out the kitchen window and then to a plastic  'kiddie pool' in the backyard.....from there, you can carry buckets full to plants or .... have a pump (sump pump or fountain/pond pump) hooked up to a garden hose and set the end of the hose to the garden plants....

note.... the use of this water, gray water, is not allowed in some places because of the bacteria content of the water..... so be sure about whether you'll get in trouble if you do this..... we did it one year and then found that it's not allowed here in NC.... dangit....

if you do this, too, you MUST use the water immediately... it cannot be stored or allowed to stand for long... like I said, there's bacteria in there.... and it will grow and get RANK!!....and, I'd not use this gray water on food plants!!... only on flowers and shrubs and trees.....if you use a good gentle soap, you can use the wash water, too.... just none with bleach or a strong one like TIDE or anything that's antibacterial... and no borax!!!....

don't forget to keep a five gallon bucket in the shower and catch the water that runs before the water gets hot!!!... use that on your food plants in the garden!!.... same with the kitchen sink water, saved in a smaller container, like a milk jug.....
