  1. So what is your question?

Okay then, I would say the most interesting would be FBI counter terrorism task force.

The most exciting would be LAPD SWAT.

The most rewarding would be local law enforcement as a beat cop.  They get to help people every day, and can see the results daily.  It is one of the most over looked positions.

  2. First you would have to become a police officer.

  3. Seals aren't into law enforcement unless it includes waxing a bunch of terrorist bad guys.

Law enforcement would be FBI, Police, DEA and ATF.

  4. First you need to meet the education and training criteria.  Then you have to consider the age blocks.  Most of the agencies that you have listed, have a max age to join.

While, most may seem exciting on the six o-clock news, they all involve, hours of waiting, researching, and desk hours.  It isn't at all like the old 007 James Bond movies.

It takes years of training, education, and commitment.  There are many other positions, available, nationwide.  For every detective, or investigator you see, there are up to ten support services officers, desk jockeys, legal teams, and co-workers that go into their jobs.

If you will take the time to study the food chain, then you will see what I mean.

There are basically, three main law enforcement branches, so to speak.

    Criminal, business and global.

Criminal covers crimes, courts, criminal justice systems.

Business, covers everything to do with business, except crimes.

And global, are you most basic, rescue, fire stations, prevention.

Do what you do best in our community.  Take what talent you have and build on that.  Staffing of personnel is low right now.

There is a need for: support staff, research staff, teaching staff, nursing staff, corrections staff, court staff, transportation staff, etc.

GovJobs is a good place to look.

    Good luck.
