Any ideas on packing light for a holiday to Turkey?

I'm going on holiday to Turkey in July and have a luggage allowance of 15kg. I have to take my hairdyrer/straighteners which will weigh quite a bit. Any tips for choosing clothing which won't weigh much? Any other ideas on packing light would be much appreciated - this is going to be very difficult for me!

  1. Which part of turkey? Ever been? I went to Istanbul in October and it was lovely. You can pack light.

Istanbul is just like the rest of the country, I assume, there will be plenty of clothing cheap to buy while you are there. To save space, I only brought 2 pairs of socks and underwear. I bought them cheap in the Grand Bazaar then threw them away.

If you are going somewhere very warm with beach, I am sure you will be able to buy light clothing and swimwear at markets, stores and on the street.

So, I say bring one or two outfits, one dress and two pairs of shoes, dress and casual or sandals.  Then, purchase the rest for cheap.  Turkish national clothing can be bought for about 5 dollars in Istanbuls grand bazaar, t-shirts with national logo, shorts, sweatpants.

    Good luck. I loved Istanbul.
