Any ideas on redecorating my bedroom?

I'm wanting to redecorate my bedroom but don't really know what to do. I have dark brown furniture and plain white walls. I was thinking of doing a deep purple or red bedding but I dont really know what else to do. Any ideas??

Choose your fave color.

Then choose a "theme".

Go window shopping at department stores and look at the 'set-ups' they have in their bedding department.  Also look through magazines, home and garden ones do the best, also ones like dwell.

What you can also do is cut out pics from magazines of a BUNCH of things you like, and start going from there.

Say you like the way the artwork flows with a room in better homes and gardens, then in the furniture store ad you see this awesome vase.  Hold the pics together and see if they work, then get to shopping.

It may sound a little difficult, but it can actually be a lot of fun to dream shop and get ideas.

If it were me, though, with white walls and dark brown furniture, I would get beige-ish bedding with a white or bright green throw, and put green accents (leafy plants, maybe) around.  And put green rocks or stones in large crystal dishes or ashtrays to tie it together.
