  1. You didn't say what kind of things you want to shop for.

I'd recommend Tati. The most well known branch is at the Metro station Barbes Rochechouart. There is another at Republique. There's another too, but I can't remember where it is.

  2. tati or monoprix(there everywhere),good stuff at a reasonable price and......its the sales at the moment

  3. go to what used to be called tatie, it is close to republique, every body knows

  4. Go to the French version of an outlet mall called La Vallee Village (3, cours de la Garonne Paris 77700) where over 75 leading ready-to-wear, table ware and luxury labels offer their previous season's collections (minimum of 33% reduction (off original recommended price) and up to 60%).

Its actually outside Paris but easy to get to. by the RER commuter train to the Val d'Europe station.

Three times a week (Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays), there is a Cityrama shuttle service that goes there. Departure from the Cityrama agency, place des Pyramides, at 10:15 am and return to Paris at approximately 5:00pm.

The fare is 15€ round trip. Reservations are required by 5:00pm the day before departure, at your hotel desk or Cityrama agency.

You might also try the Flea Markets. There is a list of them here: http://www.discoverfrance.net/France/Par...

  5. Go to Les Halles, a shopping mall close to the Pompidou Centre. It's got lots of little shops/ boutiques, selling reasonably priced fashion items.
