My son who is 7 wants to make me a Mothers Day Breakfast. I am a single mom and he wants to do this all on his own. So, he would be preparing it by himself. He can use the microwave and toaster. Any suggestions please???

  1. toast and a glass of warm milk

let him warm the milk and toast the bread

  2. a mess

  3. get him microwaveable bacon or those eggmcmuffin sandwhich thigns that microwave....my little sister who is about that age can make those!

  4. CEREAL:) hehe with a toast on the side.  hehe idk lol it would be cute:)

  5. Toast & jam with a hot cup of milk

  6. toast with butter and a topping. Porridge made in the microwave.

Personally we celebrate by going out for breakfast. my kids don't get mcdonalds very often so we go there for mothers day and birthdays (as they are twins it is only 2 times a year for birthdays) and also Fathers Day, I say that I do the Dad stuff so lets still celebrate

  7. the pancakes that go in the toaster are surprisingly good-

that is SO d**n cute that he wants to do that!!

  8. waffles! They are great, and he can make it on his own. I don't recommend microwaved eggs lol i  did that for my parents one morning when i was little and it didn't turn out so great. and the kitchen was a mess!!! Waffles will be easy, and im sure he'll enjoy them too!

  9. If you think he is old/mature enough to use the toaster and/or microwave let him plus you'll be in the house with him so if anything goes wrong you'll be there.  Hopefully you'll only have a little  mess to worry about.

  10. Toast. No butter.

  11. poptarts

    toaster waffles

    toast - maybe without jam : )

    cereal - if you dare....

    Your son is So Sweet!!!

My 5 year old son has done this, and my 7 year old daughter...  Doesn't it just make your heart melt.

  12. Awe... that is so sweet!! I am the single mom of a nine year old and he has made me breakfast a few times. I would allow him to make scrambled eggs and toast... you can premix the eggs and any other ingredients (ham, cheese) prior to him making it. Lay it all on the counter.. including the bread and butter, plates, silverware and any utensils he will need. I would lie on the couch or recline in a chair nearby unless needed. If he doesn't really want you to help get everything ready, I would tell him that you are just laying stuff out, but he is doing the hardest part. Afterwards... Celebrate! You have a thoughtful son!! Good job!

Note: he may need a stool or something to help make him tall enough to stand at the stove with out his arm getting hot or burned stirring the eggs :)

  13. That is so sweet of him!  Well, I have a couple of ideas.  He could get a can of mandarin oranges(or other favorite canned fruit pieces)  and drain the juice out, and cut up one banana (with butterknife maybe) and add that to 2 small containers of strawberry yogurt. mix it together for a fresh fruity yogurt and top it with granola.  Maybe he could add on the side, some toast and use a heart shaped cookie cutter and make heart shaped toast.

    Another idea is :

Banana sushi.  Sounds funky...but it's not what you think.  I saw it on Rachael Ray's show.

    You'll need:

    2 pieces of wheat bread,

    1 banana

    peanut butter/or Nutella(hazlenut butter)

Get 2 pieces of soft wheat bread. cut off the crust.  overlap them a tiny bit so that they can be flattened with a rolling pin and it will be one LARGE flat piece of wheat bread. (will look like two pieces of flattened bread side by side connected together by the overlap).  Spread some Nutella or peanut butter on the bread.  Put the whole banana(uncut) on the bread and roll it up like a burrito.  Cut the "burrito" into 1 or 2 inch thick rounds.  Serve on a plate and they look like cute little sushi's.

    Have fun!

  14. TOASTER WAFFLES!!

THEY'RE ARE LOTS OF DIFFERENT KINDS

    THEY ARE EASY TO MAKE

  15. microwaved toast

  16. My kids always make me breakfast as well and besides the mess they create here is some of our past menus.

Microwave scrambled eggs..........put the eggs in the bowl mix them with some milk and butter and nuke them for about 1-2 minutes and they actually do not taste to bad.  serve with some toast and jam.

cereal and toast.......less mess than any.

    oatmeal and toast

    toater waffles

    toaster pancakes

fruit bowl and last bagels and cream cheese.

last year the oldest who was 15 took over the duties and with the help of her siblings made the whole deal, bacon, eggs, toast etc.........the toast was burnt, the eggs were half raw as was the bacon but you know what it was the best breakfast ever because my kids made it just for me.  It doesnt matter what he makes you will love it because he wanted to do it especially for mom.

  17. How about Ham and Cheese crossiant?

    Very easy and yummy too!

  18. what a sweet boy! Im a single mom of an 8 year old boy, I asked him and he said cereal and toast is the easiest to make.

  19. how about pop tarts and juice that would be easy if it was done (juice0 and in fregir. and the pop tarts near there so he can pop them into the toaster. take care.

  20. toast, waffles, ceral, and a kiss? sounds like a nice breakfast for a wounderful mom

  21. Toast, cereal or oatmeal, fruit (maybe a banana) so no knife has to be used, orange juice and to top it off have one pretty flower with it for Mothers Day.
