Question:

Any ideas on what my foot/toe problem is?

i have this patch of one inch in diameter of something on my 2 big toes. it's not on the toenail. it's on the skin on top of my toe. it's been there for a really long time [4+ years] and i think it's dry skin that just built up over a long period of time. i've recently started exfoliating a lot and it's gotten better. however, it's red and looks a little bit swollen. it doesn't hurt or cause any discomfort, although sometimes, after i shower and my foot dries, the skin on my big toes gets really dry and it itches sometimes.

i don't think this is a bacterial or fungal infection. do you have any ideas what i do have and how to get rid of it?

  1. Well the fact that it got red and a bit swollen may indicate that there is a bacteria or fungus there.  Feet have loads and its probably a good idea to keep it dry and dont scratch it.  I would have it checked by a dermatologist just to be sure.  They will probably give you some kind of cream that you can use and it should go away.  That's the best idea.
