im giving some swimming lessons to my friends little brother and he's looking for a new racing suit, i recommended jammers and he claims they are too tight [even after he saw me wearing them he doesn't like them on him] anyone know some kind of brief for kids [9 y/o] that's comfortable on him and will allow him to swim well but isnt to tight?

  1. Jammers can't be too tight.  If he can get them on, then they are not too small.  If he is wanting to race, he needs to wear the tightest suit he can fit.  There should be no wrinkles anywhere on the suit.

  2. I'm guessing the kid is freaked out by Lycra and having his body on display. (He would have to be a very self-confident kid to be able to admit this to you, so expect some weird excuses.)

Have him get a standard Speedo brief and wear it under whatever suit he's wearing now. After he's built up some confidence after a few lessons, have him take off the second suit mid-lesson. Once he realizes how much easier it is to swim without the big, draggy suit, he'll never look back.

  3. try to get him into the pool with the jammers and show him how to swim if not he can try wearing a brief of some sort like this:

if it;s more attractive he might want to wear it so try these:

    hope i helped!

  4. tell him he just needs to tuff it and where the tighter jammers
