make it a surprise party at his favourite place, with his facourite people there. put up some pictures, play some songs, or do anything that will remind him of good memories from the past. get a giant card and attach photos of him with the people he loves, and get everybody to sign it, even those who cant make it to the party.

Take him to a basketball game, or get him something from his favorite football or any sports team! then make him his favorite dinner.  [pizza, spaghetti, cake] Dont go all mushy and romantic just yet. Once it comes around to night time, put on your most beautiful set of lingerie. Then...well...i think you can take it from there. ;)

lol the day of his birthday...treat him normally..llike its not his special day and be that way all day long till he gets home from work

What does your husband love? (besides you of course)...

Do something along those lines. For example, if he likes hockey, get him tickets to a game and share the experience with him. Or if you're going for something a bit more sentimental, go digging in his past and find something that he used to love back then but hasn't done/seen/whatever in a long long time. Try to revive that experience or what not now that you have the time. For example, perhaps back when he was younger he used to like.... a certain band. See if you can find those tracks and set up a party with that theme?

Depends on what he likes. I sent my grandma a singing birthday call. By going to google and finding a site that will call FOR FREE and sing them a recorded birthday song by a famous person. I sent my grandma one song by the beattles.  SHE LOVED IT.  Also if they are a fan of a sporting event get them tickets to that. Also if you have kids take care of them the whole day, and give the husband the day to relax and watch T.V. in his recliner.   Good luck and happy easter!

Place balloons to his chair and lay a big mudcake in front, with one candle, and hand him two presents, one, a shirt the other a tie.

Go out for the day.  Have a romantic diner, book a nice hotel and stay there for the night.  That would make my birthday real special anyway.
