  1. My first grader loves to play go fish and games like that. They can also be beneficial to help with math games.  Here is a good site to check out:

    www.internet4classrooms.com.

    www.abcya.com

    Hope these help.

  2. card games, matching games, counting games.

  3. they need is because they do class activitys with cards!

    and sometimes for free time!

    :]

  4. My kids in first grade played "war" and "addition war" or "multiplication war" (the classic card game to teach greater/less than, and the same game with two or more cards down at a time, so you add or multiply the totals and compare who gets the higher score.  I'm sure there are tons of other good math games with cards.

Not sure why they need a deck each, though.

  5. My first grader has playing cards on her supply list also.  They are for math and math games.. sounds like fun to me, lol.

  6. it's a great idea for number recognition and practicing add and subtract facts.

  7. Probably some math game

  8. TO PLAY POKER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (I bet 3 vanilla wafers and 2 oreos)

(idk maybe to build a house of cards?) =D

  9. To learn to recognize numbers and possibly simple adding and subtracting using the cards.  They are really no different than math flash cards with numbers on them.
