There are no clogs, hose is only 3' above the floor, it is directly plugged into outlet (no extension cord), It will go through any cycle but will not drain.

  1. probably the pump is gone

  2. The "catcher" that keeps food particles from falling into the pump might be clogged with food particles, hard water deposits or even dog hair.  Clean that out well and check to see if any thing has gotten through the "catcher" into the pump.  If that is all clear, then yes the odds are good that the pump has failed.

  3. Usually it is the lid switch gone bad. Sometimes you can hear a distinct click when opening and closing the lid (in a quiet room). If you don't hear that the lid switch may be bad. Lid switch will not let the machine engage the pump cycle but will usually let it wash. Other possibility is a bad timer.  Depending on year the Kenmore was famous for the lid switch busting. You may have a model with a hole in the top under the lid which is where the lid switch is located and can depress it with a pencil or screwdriver. Check it out for the click. Also make sure the striker for the switch attached to the lid is there.

  4. Do this simple test: Lay your drain hose on the floor (Make sure you can catch the water if any comes out.) If it does not OR just trickles then their is something in the pump. I have seen sand, rubber rug backing, bikini top,and rug strings. Remove the case and get the pump off, clean it out.

  5. the timer switch could have gone bad
