My little girl is 4 months old and every night she rolls onto her side in her crib which is fine because she sleeps OK. (Now that she can roll over it's ok to sleep on her side, right?) Anyway, for the past few nights she ends up on her tummy and it wakes her up as she does not like sleeping like this, which I'm glad about but it means she is very disturbed during the night. Any ideas on how to prevent this?

Any ideas welcome.

  1. The best thing to do, is get the wedge..good luck

  2. Wedges, they sleep in these to prevent them from rolling over.

although mine get our of theirs, but at 4 months you should be okay.

  3. THERE IS A DIVICE YOU CAN PICK UP FROM LIKE ANY BABY STORE OR WALMART THAT PREVENTS THEM FROM ROLLING ITS LIKE A PAD AND IS VERY USEFUL AND WILL HELP HER NOT ROLL ON HER STOMACH AND WILL HELP YOU CONTINUE TO SLEEP THROUGH THE NIGHT I'M SORRY I CAN'T THINK OF THE NAME OF IT BUT MY SON HAD IT AND IT WAS PADDED ON 2 SIDES AND FLAT IN THE MIDDLE TRULY NICE!

  4. You actually should NOT use a wedge, once baby is rolling over those can be suffocation hazards.  And to be honest, if she's rolling over, a wedge/sleep positioner isn't going to stop her (speaking from experience!)  This might not be what you want to hear, but you should just wait it out-- she'll get used to sleeping in any position eventually.  Hopefully it'll only take a week or less. It took my son 1-2 weeks (I forget exactly how long), but now he can roll every which way and not wake himself up.  He used to HATE being on his tummy (it would wake him right up when he rolled over) and now it's his preferred position.

    Good luck.

  5. You can roll up a blanket and try to prevent rolling over...but it will pass.  Emma went through a phase like this I think it just startled her to find herself on her belly.  I just went in and rolled her back over.  Now she only sleeps on her belly.
