Any info on a 1978 Thames Marine Invader sailing boat, I am looking at one tomorrow with a view to buy it.?

Do they handle well?

They says it is in need of a clean and some TLC but otherwise is a sound yacht.

I would like to be able to sail across to Norway from Newcastle, could this do it?

I don't know the boat, but you could try asking their Yahoo group here: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ThamesMari... I don't know how many boats you've bought before but the phrase "needs a clean and some TLC" always scares the heck out of me. It often means "she's a complete wreck"!!

As for sailing her back to Norway; I see no reason why not, as long as you pick your weather window carefully and make sure she's seaworthy.
