Any info on people to people?

I got a letter in the mail today saying that i was nominated for the people to people ambassador program to study in Japan in the summer of 09. Last year, two of my friends got nominated for the trip to France and attended the meeting. They told me that they were asked to pay $5,000 for the trip. has anyone gotten a similar letter and knows more cause i woulod really like to go? and if so has anyone gotten it who lives in ma or nh?

I don't really know much more than you do. I just got that letter today from the mail. It never said that you had to pay anything, but I'm not sure. You have to go to the website studentambassadors.org and it has a lot of information on it. I know that you have to reserve a seat for the local meeting, but that's all I know.
