Any info on the documentary about serial killer Herman Drenth aka Harry Powers?

does anyone remember serial killer Herman Drenth. he is not very well known in american history. PBS was suposed to air an documentary about him , his arrest and trial. it seems it turned into a real spectacle . the trial was held on the stage of a theatre. any other info about him would be appreciated especialy his trial.

Hm..the west Virginia Bluebeard?  He was a psychopathic killer-(knew right from wrong) and was put to the death (by hanging) in the 30's,  31 I think.  Did something like...joing the lonely hearts club and targeting those people as...victims...was only convicted on one though if I remember the story correctly.  Supposed to have shown no emotion even at the time of death.  Thats all I remember. Frightening guy!  Like...Ted Bundy but...earlier...hope this helps some.
