The real fairy tale castle, is a very exquisite place but it was never finished inside.  It cost a bundle to build.  

So for your project you can look at the construction of the castle and the unique challenges of building it where they did.

The personalities of the builder or builder(s).  I think that one of them was slightly insane.  

It's source of inspiration.  While it looks cool, it was not a practical defensible location, because the feudal system was nearly done when it was constructed and many elements of  modern warfare were already being used.  I think that it was a grand example of vanity.
