i saw it and thought that it had funny scenes in it but i would have enjoyed it much more if i had been eight not 24. it is the story of a spaceship in the shape of a man (eddie murphy) that is controlled by a crew of tiny aliens (eddie murphy is the commander). it is entertaining while you're watching it nut nothing deep and meaningful. eddie murphy does quite a good job. it is made to appeal to children with it's typical messages of don't judge people before you get to know them. it's worth a watch if you're in the mood.

Meet Dave is a 2008 American romantic family comedy, directed by Brian Robbins and starring Eddie Murphy. The film was co-written by Bill Corbett (formerly of Mystery Science Theater 3000 fame) and Rob Greenberg.[2][3] The film was released by 20th Century Fox on July 11, 2008.[2]

On New York's Liberty Island a massive fireball crash lands, with a man emerging unscathed. He's Dave (Eddie Murphy), a human-shaped spaceship controlled by 100 aliens, each one an inch tall. Its captain (also played by Murphy) pilots the Dave Spaceship along with his crew from inside its head. The aliens are seeking a way to save their planet, Nil, from an energy crisis by draining the Earth's Oceans for salt. However, complications arise when the Captain falls in love with single mother Gina Morrison (Elizabeth Banks).[2] More complications arise when the police begin tracking Dave from the crash site. While the Captain struggles to keep their identity hidden, his best friend, Commander Number 3 (Gabrielle Union) is secretly in love with him and becomes jealous of Gina. Now he must choose between Gina or his true love within Number 3.
