  1. check on this you will understand--

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lunar_eclip...

  2. There is information about the eclipse at http://eclipse.gsfc.nasa.gov/LEplot/LEpl...

For Egypt (UT + 3 hours) the times are:

    Penumbral eclipse begins 21:23

    Partial eclipse begins 22:36

Greatest eclipse 00:10 (on the 17th). 81% of the Moon's diameter covered.

    Partial eclipse ends 01:45

    Penumbral eclipse ends 02:57

At the start of the penumbral phase, the Moon's appearance doesn't change, so you won't notice anything until after about 10 p.m. when some shading will appear on the lower left side of the Moon. From 10:36 onwards, the darkest part of the Earth's shadow will creep across the Moon until maximum eclipse is reached at 10 past midnight, when only a small upper portion of the Moon will be illuminated. After that, the process continues in reverse until the shadow finally disappears from the lower left edge of the Moon sometime after 2 a.m.
