    Sorry, the only thing I could find is that he was appointed c1940.

    Unfortunately the name Diamantopoulos, although not common, is not characteristic of an area in Greece. Chances are that it is from The Peloponnese but who knows...

    Try with the Greek Embassy in US they must keep an archive, or the Ministry of internal affairs.
