    Spain is NOT awash in brothels...they are a very conservative country, and I'm pretty sure that Portugal financed Magelllen, so you had better research that one before you put that in your report.

Try reading Ernest Hemingway's ,"For Whom The Bell Tolls", about the Spanish civil war.A brilliant piece of literature in its own right "(needless to say coming from Papa) but it  will give you an insight into some of Spain's recent history. other than that , Spain is situated in Southwest Europe and has a wet Atlantic coast & a dry hot Mediterranean coast.It is dominated by a central plateau drained by the Duero Tagus , and Guadiana rivers. After the death of General Franco in 1975 Spain managed a rapid and relatively peaceful transition to democracy under the supervision of King Juan Carlos.Spain joined joined the E.U., in 1986.  Eh let me think  Population ,about 40 million ,Captital Marid, language Spanish, Galician ,Basque& Catalan.hope that helps a little .
