I know that Louis VI the fat, Louis VII the young, Louis VIII the lion, Louis IX the saint, Phillip III the bold, Charles VIII, Louis XII the father of his people, and Louis XVI are the only French Kings I can think of that didn't cheat on their wives. Henry III, Edward I, Henry VI, Richard III, Charles I, George III, George IV, and George V are the only English Kings that I can think of that didn't cheat on their wives either. Please do not include short-reigning kings or reigning queens please!

  1. Edward the Confessor (CE 1005 -1066) took a vow of chastity.

  2. one of the Edwards was g*y , he did get married but didn't have any mistresses,, a boy friend but no mistresses

  3. George VI didn't as far as we know. George IV (formerly the Prince Regent) certainly did, the most well known being Mrs Fizherbert. William I (William the Conqueror) was though to be faithful to his wife even though at that time it was normal to have mistresses. I should think most Norman and early Plantagenent kings had mistresses.

Charles I may have been faithful to his wife, but he had at least one illegitimate daughter before his marriage.

  4. Don't you think there might have been some g*y kings ?!
