Any possible connection with Mary Ann Cooney, b.1863, St.George in the East (London).  Daughter of John Cooney (Merchant Seaman) and Mary Ann Cooney, formerly Donovan?  Both families originated Cork but we have no more info.

They were my husband's Gt. grandparents.

There is a William, parents Michael and Hannah, in the 1901 census in Cork.  Is that him?
