Any live shows/performances to see in Tokyo--particularly in Shinjuku?

Question

My mother and I have 3 days left in Tokyo and we have done all the sight-seeing we want to do and have done most of our souvenir shopping done. We would like to see some live shows... it can be comedy, a play, improv... etc... (not Kabuki or Geisha shows) we are staying in Shinjuku so we would love for it to be in Shinjuku but surrounding areas in Tokyo are fine as well.

I tried to do a search on Google but nothing is really showing up.

We do speak Japanese.

You could watch baseball at Tokyo dome tonight (17th)... visit early to get your ticket.  Or Seibu dome tonight at tokorozawa (40 mins from Shinjuku.)  Both are domes so they're not affected by the rain.

Or go to the cinema/movie theatre/theater.

I don't know what kind of performance do you prefer to watch.

Theatrical performance like musical or something else?

In Kabukicho, Shinjuku there is Koma theater where is one of choice this August till 25th, musical of Cinderella is on going there(in Japanese).

Suehiro-Tei theater located at Shinjuku 3-chome is the place where Rakugo and/or Manzai performance are held on.

You may check this short term theater if you are on time, the place performances on going is called Okubo koen park just behind Kabuki-cho.
