  1. im from london and yes i can tell the difference because a manchester accent is more northern

  2. There probably not interested on how the way you speak, i do know your accent has a touch of the liverpool accent

  3. I find that very very hard to believe. Anyone who was born in london or has lived in london or any other part of the UK for that matter for most of their lives will be able to tell the difference immediatley. It is extremely noticable and my only guess is that your friends are not born and bred londoners and they have only come over here recently. If anything many londoners can even tell the difference in accents between londoners from different parts of london. The south london accent for example is different to the north london accent. Not only that but a london accent could be 'cockney' or 'posh' or 'street' there are many new variations in the london accent. but all in all the manchester accent is most definately noticably different to any london accent

Are you young? i mean in your teens. Because large number of  the new generation of brits have a new way of speaking,I think it has been mainly influenced by mainstream rap, hiphop and uk grime. If you are a youngtser you will know what i am talking about. This is the only accent i know that will show very little variation no matter where in the uk you are from, ofcourse there is a small difference in the regional accent but some people may not be able to notice it

  4. I can, but i do get it confussed with a Yorkshire accent which seems to cause great offence

  5. Yeah sure. There both totaly different. same with Newcastle, Liverpool, Bristol, Brum etc etc

  6. Yes very easily, maybe you don't have much of an accent.

  7. Ha good question! I can mostly tell what part of Manchester or districts of someone comes from. I can even tell what part of Scotland a Scots person comes from...especially so a Glaswegian...lol.

And yet not many can decipher my greater London accent as I've spent most of my days living North of Watford Gap.. My Mother was a born in sound of Bow Bells but she spoke ever ever so posh and my Father was a man of Kent though of Scottish parentage.so it's hardly surprising no one can pinpoint my accent..
