I have been looking for an inexpensive, decent apt on Craig's list, but I am little skeptical

Would you care to share you experiences, misfortunes, luck, etc. in your quest to find something on this site?

  1. where do you live? craigslist is good, but to find an apt, you should go with an apartment locator. In texas, you dont pay anything for the locator, the apartments do. If you live in San Antonio TX please email me as i will be an apt locator in a few days...Adam_Asrar@yahoo.com

  2. my aunt bought a few things on cregs list, and she liked it a lot.

  3. Well; if you are looking for an apartment .... and find one that interest you .... make an appointment to go look it over , read the lease CAREFULLY ect ....

Personally; I've sold items on Craigslist including two houses, rented a couple of apartments to tenants, ect and never had a problem.

  4. .   I have had great luck with Craigslist.  It's the "inexpensive" that is causing you the problem.  Those ads get flooded with callers.  FLooded.

  5. It depends on where you live, really. I live in Austin, TX and, here, Craigslist is almost a life-blood it is so widely used. However, in Lubbock, TX, where I use to live, no one uses it (or at least not when I lived there).

As for my experiences, I got my car, my guy, my current house (rental - worked much better than our realtor for sure), and my last roomies all on Craigslist. So, I'd say Craigslist and I are pretty good friends. :)

  6. craigslist always works for me when selling something within hours, sometimes minutes, or seconds.
