i finally went in april. bought the season pass for myself and my boy. about $60 each. we received a valuable coupon book free. i paid $15 to park.

i finally returned last monday and used a coupon for hurricane harbor. i loved it. this time, i decided to upgrade my card to include parking. another $50.

add a half tank of gas. $20.

well, i got robbed that night. my backpack only had a skirt, my new bra, my four-year-olds swim trunks and some towels. then i realized, my passes and coupon books were in there.

i called magic mountain about a replacement. they will charge me $25 for each card. i though of blowing it off, but i only used my pass once and i feel stupid paying $50 to park once.

do you think it would be presumptuous if i asked them to lower or waive the fee? i thought i might pay a few bucks for another card and processing, but another $50? i'm thinking of bringing in a copy of the police report. think it would help?

i'm bummed. i'm not trying to scam anyone, i just think it's a little unfair. i know it's not their fault it was stolen. i would understand if it were just a lost card, but gee. it's getting very expensive.

I think you should bring the police report, I think paying $25 is ridiculous, and for your son, thats almost a new season pass.

I mean you are a member, you paid for your card, they should only charge you like 3 to 5  bucks for a new card. You are not buying a new membership, you are just a member with a new card.

Does the bank charge you $25 when you look your bank card?

Does a gym charge you $25 if you loose your gym card?

No,

So 25 is ridiculous, you aren't buying a new membership, you are simply buying a new card for your existing account.

Ask them to lower the price for sure, and ask them to give you a new card number so if the perps try to get in, they catch who it was.
