  1. You're a natural beauty and I'm not just saying that!

You've probably heard it before, "you don't need to wear any makeup!" I've head that before from my friends haha. However, I just developed a great interest in makeup, especially eye makeup, and I think makeup should accentuate features, not cake/mask them.

I'm no professional makeup artist but I have picked up a few things =)

    For the face:

As far as I can tell, you don't look like you have any pimples or acne. If this is the case, you should wear low coverage foundation. Foundation creates a base for the rest of your makeup and it helps blush and bronzer and whatnot stick onto your face and stay on longer. What I mean by low coverage foundation is preferably powder foundation. I love Mac Mineralized Skinfinish/Natural in Medium deep. It's my holy grail foundation product =) It's baked so it's natural for your skin.

However, I cannot stress enough how important it is to wear sunscreen everyday! Before you do anything, PUT ON SUNSCREEN! You don't want wrinkles in your thirties, now do you? Protect yourself now and reap the benefits later. Botox at thirty or even older is not attractive.. but no offense to those who use it!

If you ever have days with dark undereye bags, you should definitely use concealer. Concealer isn't only for eye bags but for blemishes, spots, birthmarks, etc. You can coverage up anything with concealer! The trick to finding the right one for you is to pick a shade or two lighter than your natural skin tone so it can adjust to the darkening of your skin. Concealer isn't necessary but if you have any problems that I mentioned above, you should look into it.

To add some color to the face, you should wear blush or bronzer. Depending on your mood. I say bronzer for summer (well it's almost over..) and the beginning of fall and blush for the rest of the year. That's just my preference. You have very fair skin with pink undertones I believe so bronzer will do your face some good. Any bronzer will do, just as long as it isn't like, 3-5 shades darker. You don't want people to stare at you funny. You want a natural and sunkissed glow to your face, as if you just came back from the beach. I honestly think you should try and look into MAC Mineralized Blush in Nuance. It's a warm, peachy color with some gold and that will be perfect as a blush AND bronzer for your face. It's a gorgeous color. If you want a traditional blush (like a pink one) to give you a natural flush color to your face, any soft pink would do. MAC Blush in Margin is good, as well as Coy Girl. There are many possibilities when it comes to MAC, my favorite makeup brand but don't just take my word for it. There are millions of makeup brands out there. Drugstore brands are just as good as department stores. The price is just different and you can't always try out products found in drugstores. In department stores, you have trained professionals who can help you achieve a certain look and find the right color for you. Plus, you can always test everything out before you buy.

    For the eyes:

Invest in a good eyelash curler. I suggest Shu Erma's Eyelash curler, it's $20 but it's worth it! Curl your eyelashes and coat them with 1-2 coats of any mascara to your liking. My favorite drugstore brands are Cover Girl's Last Blast (orange tube with the big wand) and Maybelline's Great Lash (pink tube with small wand). They're under $8 so they're affordable. My favorite department store brands are Christian Dior Diorshow and Clinique Lash-something. I forgot haha. They're about $20 but I think they're worth it. Mascara and curling your eyelashes will make you look more alive and awake because it opens up your eyes. As they say, the eyes are the windows (or was it doors..) to your soul =)

You don't need eyeliner. If you want to wear it, use brown for the day and black for night. There are a variety of ways to wear it but you can figure out what suits you.

Whether or not to wear eyeshadow is also up to you. I always wear eyeshadow even though it's really natural. I wear about three colors on my lid with a eyeshadow base. An eyeshadow base helps the color stick and stay on, prevents it from creasing (when the product gets dried up and collects in a corner of your eye because of the natural oils in your lids), and shows the TRUE color of the eyeshadow. I normally wear brown colors. I wear more bold looks at night.

If you wear glasses, you need to watch out for what eye makeup you use and put on because the glasses put more emphasis on your eye and can look weird sometimes. If ANYTHING, just wear mascara =)

For the lips, you should wear chapstick then layer on a natural lipstick like a nude color or a subtle pink. I like lipgloss A LOT. I love all sorts of colors. Coral-ly pink colors would look beautiful on your skin tone! You can pull of red as well if you want to be that adventurous. For a daily basis, a nude lipstick such as MAC Cherish or Myth with a soft pin
