Any mechanics out there? Can anyone estimate the cost for a head gasket replacement.?

for lexus about 12-1500, i did one about a week ago and you have to have the head checked for cracks also,so to have all this done your looking at about 1200 at the least,and that's counting parts and labor,and with a warranty on it,good luck.

Depends where you take it. There are some shops that can add another 25% on the price just because they want to. There are shops that will cut you a deal. It's totally the shop's prices. I'd say find a friend who can change it, so you can get the part yourself, pay the friend twenty bucks, and not hear about how your engine is ready to explode or something and how that'll cost a thousand dollars to repair on top of everything else.
