what serous membranes would a bullet pass through if it entered the right lung and became lodged in the liver

  1. The layers the bullet would travel through are::

    Skin & subcutaneous tissue

    Ribs & intercostal muscles

    Parietal pluera of chest cavity (serous membrane)

    Pleural space

    Visceral pluera (serous membrane)

    Lung parenchyma

    Visceral pluera again leaving the lung (serous membrane)

    Pleural space again

    Parietal pluera may be called diaphragmatic pluera (serous membrane)

    Diaphragm

    Liver - The peritoneum, a serous membrane, does not cover the whole liver so depending on the trajectory of the bullet, it may or may not pass through the peritoneum.

    So a bullet would pass through 4 or 5 serous membranes, depending on its trajectory.
