Any more french guesthouses in Pondicherry?

I'm living in Pondicherry and when my friends were visiting me from Canada, i booked this new french guesthouse/home stay called "La Maison Blanche" run by Sylvain Labiche. I would definitely recommend this to everybody. Check out their website at http://www.lamaisonblanche.in

Vinoth...Try "Duplex" behind old RTO near Beach road and GH...authentically french at very very high cost! the waiters speak frenh here! amazing ambience! You can also try other alternatives like "The Promenade" on beach road...or "La Heriatge" on MG road towards Muthialpet!

Auroville has good places called "Homestays"...in other terms Paying Guests or Service Apartments! Once again these are not advertised...you need to to the international Village and make inquiries with the localites there! They are not expensive and are good places to stay for a vacation...especially for foreigners who like privacy!!!

Not a personal recommendation but check this site --- has several listings under Guesthouses, with French names. Since you are a Pondicherry resident  you are in a better position to ask around and get the scoop...

ALSO , read this interesting  article from The Hindu 2005 --  some enthusiasts have started "Heritage Houses" where the Old World Charm and some French "character" is preserved  to give tourists a feel of the ambiance of days long gone...
