My little boy will start school next month and I get so sad thinking about it. It feels like I just gave birth to him not that long ago. He is my 2nd child....I don't recall feeling this sad with my first. Anyone else feeling this way?

  1. My son starts 5 wks from today and everytime i think about it i want to cry lol.  He was my first born and will always be my baby though.  I had to take him school shopping last week and wanted to cry the whole time.  He is going to be 6 this Friday so I got an extra year with him but still I will miss him when he is gone to school for all that time (8:30-3:30 Mon-Fri).  I am a SAHM so I am just use to being around him most of the time.

  2. :( Did you have to mention the K word? :( My oldest baby will be starting next month! She will be 6 in september but I just don't think she is ready to leave me all day lol. Of course she is super duper excited with all her hannah montana supplies. i know I am going to BAWL on her first day. I still remember following the head start bus all the way to school on her very first day when she was just 3 yrs old. I cried the whole way. I don't want her to go!

I do have a 14 month old to keep me busy and another due any day but I just don't like thinking of her being at that big school without me!

  3. I am sending my oldest to kindergarten and I don't even want to THINK about sending my littlest baby there. I am a SAHM myself. I know it is going to be devastating for me!! My son came out into the kitchen to tell me he was a "great big boy"...all ready to ride the bus and see his new teacher and I literally had to turn my face away to keep him from seeing me tear up (I didn't want him to think something was wrong with mommy). I just know I am going to be one of those "crazy" moms that follows the bus to school that first day my daughter goes to kindergarten, just to make sure she makes it alright on the bus (yes, I have considered doing this with my son this September). Ugh, it sucks however I believe public school is a more suitable and necessary option then being home schooled for my children at this time.
