  2. you must go to madams fu fus and do all the girls working ther

  3. Actually, the reason to go to Florence is to see Michaelangelo's David at the Academy. The food is wonderful, the people are wonderful, and the city is beautiful. Don't miss the Ponte Vecchio and the Uffizi. But the museums -- and the David -- are must-sees.

  4. Eat some good gelato, but remember the farther away from the tourist places the bette the quality and lower the price. Food in the Piazzas is very expensive and gross with no customer service (tourists usually are not repeat customers) so they don't care.

Make sure to make a reservation at any of the museums like the Uffizi and the Academia lines can be very long.

  5. Of course no trip to Florence would be complete without going to see the statue of David at the Academy. All the museums are fantastic!

Purchase leather goods near the "little church", just ask any local and they'll direct you. The name escapes me right now.The leather is fabulous and affordable.

Tons of plaes to eat though check out the delis, they're not like the ones we have here in the States. The smalles, the art work, the pottery make it an experience, not just a meal.Have a great trip!

  6. Oh you're talking about my favourite place in the whole world. You could spend your life there and never see everything. The central point is the Palazzo Vecchio, or old palace  and its piazza. This was the seat of the Florentine government and the Uffizi is right there along with the loggia which contains many famous sculptures. There is a copy of Michelangelo's David outside the palazzo but the original is in the Accademia. If you're going to the Uffizi I suggest you book tickets in advance as the cues are huge. The Bargello Museum is nearby and was formerly the old prison, Dante's house, the Duomo, the Churches of Santa Croce etc..... It really is endless. The Ponte Vecchio is great for jewellery and there are market stalls in many of the loggia. Loads of places to eat or grab a sandwich. Try a site called Venere for hotels, they're really good. My favourite is the Hotel David, Piazalle Michelangelo. Great hospitality and a ten minute stroll into town. Good luck.

  7. the whole of it,theres to much to mention, fantastic place

  8. Florence by night: beautiful especially il Duomo by night.

The Medici Chapel: really interesting (the Medici family was one of the most powerful families in Florence during the 15th century)

The uffizi: huge museum (if you want to see everything, you need to days)

And above all: the Pitti Palace's gardens. I lived in Florence for a year and loved to stroll in those gardens which remind me Lewis Caroll's world.
