Hi there,

I am 13 weeks pregnant with my second child and permanently tired. I work full time and have a 16 month old at home. I feel so useless, because I just cannot stay awake by the end of the day. Is there any natural advice you can give me to get my energy levels up?

  1. Bananas are good. They are a natural energy hit.

Hopefully your tiredness will go away when you get to the 2nd trimester.

  2. you could try bananas, but they didnt really work for me, because the smell made me sick (idk why, cuz i love them) but im 25 wks, and i am still completely exhausted everyday, except now i am not able to sleep at night, so i sleep during the day...goodluck to you tho!!

  3. Goodness you are working. taking care of your baby and pregnant.  How about the father helping you?  You are not useless!  The father of your baby needs to be there!

  4. Pray and get some friends or family to help you so you can sneak in a nap here and there.  Bananas seemed to help me because of the potassium.  I know the feeling quite well.  My daughter was 2 1/2 when I was 13 weeks along and I couldn't keep up.

  5. eat lots of fruit, especially bananas.

i worked 50 hours a week in the beginning of my pregnancy, and i have a three year old daughter. i know how exhausted you are!

what i did, was i started going to bed an hour earlier, and i started picking my daughter up an hour later after i got off work so i could get in a little cat nap before i brought her home.

the best thing to do is think of times of the day where it would be easy for you to sneak in a little nap, even if it's only 20 minutes. give your body the rest it needs.

  6. try preggie drops , these are herbal sweets and are proved to be much effective with such symptoms. I think Mothersbliss.com website sell these sweets.

  7. hiya

i rememebr that well. I think you just need sleep & rest but remember in a few weeks- usually 16-20 weeks- you feel a lot better for a while!!

I cannot offer any advice but good luck!
