  1. First define how life is different from death. That's not as easy as you might think.

  2. My experience brought me closer to the Lord and helped me to truly understand the meaning of Born Again.  I had had surgery and was home.  It was late and my husband was already asleep.  We were staying a my parents so he could work and I didn't have to worry about fixing lunch for myself, walking without assistance, etc., and someone could be nearby all the time.  I was laying on my back and felt like my soul was being pulled out of me.  I had the feeling that my body was lying down, but my essence was sitting at an angle, trying to leave my body.  I could see blackness and at the end of the blackness, I saw a bright light.  It was almost like a tunnel with a door at the end from which the light was shining.  I wanted to go to the light but each time that I would step forward, fear of falling would grip me.  The path that I needed to walk was very narrow, almost like walking on a string or rope.  I eventually took several steps and, once again, retreated.  I could feel myself being more drawn and resisting was more difficult as the experience went on.  I became too exhausted to continue to fight going onto the "rope" and into the "tunnel".  But when I would step into the tunnel I would hear the most horrible noise; it was so very loud!  I began to pray to God and my fear was as strong as my resistance was weak.  It was then that I remembered someone telling me that I should pray to Jesus, not God.  So I began to just talk to Him.  I told Him that I was afraid and if He wanted me to cross, then come and get me so we could cross together because I was afraid to do it alone.  Then I told Him that if it wasn't my time to do something because I couldn't hang on much longer.  I told Him that I needed Him to take care of this for me.

The next thing I knew, I saw a white image come through the door and immediately felt a peace like I've never felt before.  My fear was gone.  The next thing I knew I was laying on my stomach and my head turned toward my husband.  I turned my head to the other side and I saw Him standing beside my bed and I saw Him take a cloak and as He layed it over me, I turned my head back toward the center of the bed and fell asleep.  Later that week I went for my final check up before returning to work and I ended up back in the hospital for emergency surgery.  During that stay in the hospital, my minister came to my room and baptized me.  When I shared my experience with him, I don't remember his reaction, but he did say that I was truly blessed.

My cousin did cross over through the tunnel into the light and wanted to stay.   Her father and other loved ones were there.  She said it was so wonderful and beautiful, but she was told she had to go back.  She resisted, but had no choice and was made to return to this world.

  3. I am a firm believer that people are going to see what they want to see, even as they "cheat" death.

  4. Nope.

  5. Nobody has ever died "temporarily."

    Near-death is not death.

  6. I never did, but my friend actually died and rose again. She said she was in a peaceful place and very quiet and didn't want to come back but an angel told her that she had to because she has a job to do on Earth. That happened when she was like 7 or 8 and she's 23 now. Also other friend's nephew died in her pool (we live in Florida) and they pulled him out and started crying out to Jesus and he was rushed to a trauma 5 hospital in Orlando and he was unresponsive. Later that day, God breathed life back into him and he didn't even have any brain damage at all. That was 2 miracles.

  7. I've floated in pure light,I've walked along beaches only to be sent back, and I've walked in glass/hot ashes in 'bare' feet and gotten terribly burnt/cut up.I have also some what seen angels and the dark forces.Needless to say there is another side that is not physical. And ...I don't do drugs,or drink.Just some bad friends I had to ditch.h**l is known to act on emotion, the spirit(thus the 'physical' effect)and the sences(hearing, touch, smell, sight).Thats why when one dies, the body(flesh)dies, but the spirit moves on.

  8. Did you know that there is little consensus in the medical community as to what constitutes "death"? So say a brain scan with no movement for 30 seconds is death. Others says a brain scan with 5 minutes of inactivity qualifies as death. Thing is, as long as CPR is being performed, the brain is still receiving oxygen...and thus you are not actually "dead", despite having no heartbeat and no brain waves...

You might take note of this little hint: its called NEAR death, not ACTUAL death. Being NEAR death and being dead are two different things.
