  1. Two or three points that have already been touched on:

look into small print at your venue you have chosen on what they will accept- vis a vis the clean up fee that someone already mentioned- some places will not allow confetti or sparkles or anything else end up on their floor period, never mind clean up fees.

I have been to many weddings, bubbles are popular and fun, for both grownups and kids alike. I like the flag idea. Maybe if you can find some small bells that aren't grotesquely loud but cute little ringing sounds, with your names on them. The idea behind the flag or bells etc is that it is something the guests can take home with them as a keepsake.

Depends on the time of day and the location too, bird seed is nice, if that is within the guidelines allowed by the venue (another thing some don't like to allow because the birds will arrive in flocks and do their thing on the sidewalk/lawn/walkway etc.)

If you go to a site like theknot.com you can find other favour ideas that can double as send =-offs and well so because people can keep them.

Also re bubbles, they are pretty and also cheap.

  2. i am eco friendly at times so i say bird seeds

  3. If you are deciding between bubble and confetti, do bubbles if outdoors.  Confetti is litter, and you don't want to have someone be responsible for cleaning all the confetti up before heading to the reception.  If indoors, check with the facility.  They may have a preference.

  4. I had bubbles tied with a ribbon in our wedding colors and I made paper cups from paper doilies tied with the same ribbon and filled them with flower petals- so people could choose which ones they wanted

  5. similar to rose petals, i've heard of people using lavender and really like this idea.  it smells nice too!

  6. Avoid confetti- you either have to pay for clean up fee, or have somebody come and clean them right after the wedding. Plus, they stick on clothes and on shoes, and they look nasty when it's raining.

Go with bubbles or with sparklers.

  7. I would do the bubbles because they add a really cool effect to the photos of your getaway! We are doing this too.

My MOH is a photographer and recommended doing the bubbles because of the neat effect.

    and there's no clean-up, either.

  8. I didn’t do any of it, and no one missed it.

  9. Sparklers are a cool idea. We are using them at our wedding...

Another cool idea is to make miniture flags with your names & wedding date on them. The guests can wave them as you exit back down the aisle.

Take a wooden dowel - about 8-10 inches long. Attach the ribbon at the top (about 12 inches long and 2 inches thick). You can then stamp you and your fiance's names onto the ribbon along with the wedding date.

This is a cool way to incorporate your colors!

  10. Large paper confetti like they did in the fantasy scene in Bridget Jone's Diary. I know that it's not green, but I loved it.

  11. at my wedding i did bubbles at my sisters wedding she did confetti it was a disaster. we had to clean it up so if you do wont confetti have other people clean it up

  12. I used rose petals at my wedding.  It was beautiful and we didn't need to worry about cleaning up.

Bubbles can sometimes ruin your dress because of the soap/detergent that is used - it leaves round stains on some materials.

Confetti needs to be cleaned up and some places won't allow it.  The ecofetti seems pretty cool - but I am not sure if it would stain or not - I would get the white ecofetti just in case.

  13. we did bubbles!  they looked so good in the pictures.  but there is also flower bettles, just get more of the flowers the flower girls will throw and have everybody at the end get like a hand full of them.  those would be so cute!  good luck
