When I was there once I stayed at the nice old Shilton on the corner of Grant Road which I heard they tore down........and the Woodlands a couple of miles south of there ... and the Ananda Bhavan on Grant Road.... I found an online listing for the Woodlands, but I don't know if it is the same hotel: it was very old fashioned and comfortable, great food .... and the Ananda Bhavan was a real family-style hotel ... and I also stayed at The East West on a large road that was parallel with and just south of MG road, right perpendicular to Brigade Road...it was quite modern, but it was comfortable and clean
Do you have any recommendations to make about this sort of hotel in Bangalore. All the hotels I see online look very beautiful and modern, but they do not look relaxed and like home.
